How did you and the groom first meet?

I first met Corey when I went to visit my best friend at college over the summer. He played football for the school, and my friend had accidentally been placed in the athletic dorms for the summer semester. We were planning to room together in the fall, so she convinced me to go with her to the housing manager and bribe him with donuts to put us back in the athletic dorms for the next semester (she enjoyed the perk of having the guys take out her trash for her). He agreed, and Corey ended up being our neighbor! We’ve been together ever since.

What was your favorite wedding moment?

There were so many memorable moments, but one in particular stands out to me. I was so nervous in the beginning of the ceremony, but as the pastor was welcoming our guests, I looked at Corey and mouthed, “I love you”, and he whispered back, “I love you.” At that moment, everything that was going on around us seemed to fade away and it felt like it was just the two of us. I just remember feeling so in love with him and so blessed that I was becoming his wife right then.

What was the inspiration or color scheme for your wedding?

Any of my friends or family will tell you that pink is my “signature color”, so that part was a no-brainer. My favorite combo is pink and black, but that didn’t feel right for a wedding. I immediately thought of gray, because I loved the idea of a neutral color with pops of pale pink. I was so happy to see that Weddington Way had the exact shade of gray that I wanted for my bridesmaids’ dresses!

What was your favorite part of the Weddington Way experience? Why did it work for you?

My favorite part was the fact that it was so interactive. I was able to pick out the dresses I wanted my girls to choose from, and they could log in and pick their favorite. Then, I could could go to my account and it showed me who had ordered their dress and which one they had picked. It made it so convenient and I didn’t have to worry about chasing down each girl to make sure they ordered their dress on time.
