Q&A WITH THE BRIDE
What was the inspiration or color scheme for your wedding?
We knew we wanted to do an outside wedding, because one of our favorite things about California is just how much natural beauty there is. To help us plan the wedding, we used Pinterest. We both pinned up things we liked and invited our families to do the same. It also turned out to be super useful because we could share our inspirations with all of the vendors we met. We did not really have a color scheme at first and then realized after pinning several images that infact we did like certain colors - yellow, orange, grey’s etc.
What was your favorite wedding moment?
When our friends surprised us and threw us up on chairs and did the Hora. It was fun and a bit litle scary.
How Did You and The Groom First Meet?
Ben grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. Divya grew up in Bangalore, India. We met in Washington DC where we both worked after school. Four years ago, we decided to move out West to California!
What was your favorite part of the Weddington Way experience? Why did it work for you?
I found Weddington Way on Pinterest and saw a few friends recommending the site on Facebook. It was really easy to sign up, get an account and set up a page for my bridesmaids so that they could see what dresses I picked and we could all order them together/track the order as well. Since my friends were all over the world, this worked really nicely since we found really cute dresses, and all felt equally part of the selection process. Benu was fantastic to work with. She checked in on us , gave us updates and even went above and beyond to help a few friends with questions etc.
