Q&A WITH THE BRIDE
What was the inspiration or color scheme for your wedding?
We wanted the wedding to be whimsical and timeless, and I’ve always loved metallics. So, we chose champagne and silver and anchored the palette with steel gray, cream, and black details.
What was your favorite wedding moment?
Wow. There were SO many. Saying my vows and hearing Alex’s felt so momentous - even more than I imagined. Also, one of my best friends suggested we do a receiving line in between our ceremony and cocktail hour - it ended up being the best piece of advice we got because it allowed us to spend a little bit of face time with every guest. Not only did we get to see everyone and thank everyone, we really felt like we could relax at the reception.
How Did You and The Groom First Meet?
We were both students at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. I saw him in the library, sat down next to him at the computers and asked him if he knew how to export my statistics homework as a text file. He didn’t have the answer, but I didn’t actually need one.
What was your favorite part of the Weddington Way experience? Why did it work for you?
I was having a really hard time finding an elegant, reasonably priced dress in the color that I wanted. I almost gave up and told my bridesmaids to pick out their own dresses in a different color. Then I found Weddington Way. The team's expert fashion advice paired with unmatched product knowledge helped me find a high quality dress, in the perfect color, at a great price. People were coming up to my mom and bridesmaids all night telling them they were the most beautiful bridesmaids dresses they had ever seen. I agreed!
