EXPECTING BRIDESMAIDS: HOW TO DRESS TO FEEL YOUR BEST

For expecting bridesmaids: How to dress to feel your best, plus the best time to buy, most-loved silhouettes, and more. Shop our signature waistless collection here. Our additional tips to get started:

  • Size Up

As a general guideline, you should add an inch to each measurement for every month of pregnancy remaining until the wedding day. (If the wedding is 3 months away, allow for an additional 3 inches to your bust, waist and hip measurements.)
  • When to Buy

Purchase your bridesmaid dress as close to the wedding date as possible, given how quickly the pregnant figure can change. Speaking of, it’s best if the dress has a sewn-in bra, too. (If possible, order your dress with extra length to make sure that the hemline isn’t raised too high in front.)
  • Most-Loved Look

The Empire Waist is an incredibly chic and flattering look for mom-to-be bridesmaids. As for fabric, we love ethereally light, flowing chiffon, which allows for plenty of movement. Stretch cotton, lace, and stretch crepe are also great options.
  • If You’re 5 Months Pregnant…

You might want to consider a maternity bridesmaid dress, light, flowing and designed to coordinate beautifully with the entire bridal party.
  • Add a (Subtle) Accent:

Add a colorful sash and highlight your baby bump, or choose a dress with a V-neckline and wear your favorite understated necklace.
  • Don’t Be A Hero in Heels

There are so many gorgeous flats out there, perfect for weddings, and embellished with all sorts of sparkling details. And they’re comfortable, so you can celebrate all night long.
